I want continue and confirm existing of this bug.
I use Ubuntu 10.04 and mc.
I need access to remote ftp over proxy in LAN.

mc 4.7.0.6-1 error on all sites (with/or without password)
mc 4.7.0 error (with/or without password)
mc 4.6.2 WORK OK !!!

My configuration is:
ftpfs_directory_timeout=900
ftpfs_retry_seconds=30
ftpfs_always_use_proxy=1
ftpfs_use_passive_connections=1
ftpfs_use_passive_connections_over_proxy=0
ftpfs_use_unix_list_options=1
ftpfs_first_cd_then_ls=1
ftp_proxy_host=10.0.0.95
ftpfs_password=anonymous@

"ftpfs_use_passive_connections_over_proxy" may be 0 or 1

List of messages:
ftpfs: sending...
ftpfs: reading directory ... (chdir first)
ftpfs: failed; nowhere to fallback to
mc displays red box "Cannot chdir to /#ftp:..." and stays in local directory
after 30s : ftps: sending... ftps: logged in
after 30s : ftps: disconnecting...

This situation you may check with Ubuntu 10.04 live dvd, mc 4.7.0, mc 4.6.2,
ftp site ex: archive.ubuntu.com,
access to Internet over Windows XP machine with proxy UserGate 2.8
