I am finding it strange that I should change the status of my own bug to
confirmed... but there doesnt seem to be anyone who has managed to
replicate it and report it. The Ubuntu forums have a number of
complaints of similar nature for Ideapad laptops..
so I am taking the liberty of marking this bug as confirmed!!
