According to the error message "dpkg-deb --control" failed for some reason (the reason I do not know, I do not understand Russian) while installing the package. This command extracts the metadata files from the *.deb package file. So it seems that the *.deb file is broken, either already broken on the mirror from where you got it downloaded or the download did not work correctly. For me it does not seem to be a bug of the package which I have originally uploaded to Ubuntu.
