This is already fixed, as the DNS lookup error is now handled.
Tried it IRL, starting the Ubuntu One client like:
ubuntuone-syncdaemon --dns_srv=nosrv.com.ar.no --host=fs1.oneubu.com
The relevant part of the log, where we can see that it is working ok, is:
