I have looked into your error_log and according to it Ghostscript
crashed with a segmentation fault on the big jobs. This is most probably
an upstream bug of Ghostscript but can also be that your system's memory
is not sufficient.
To help fixing the bug please attach the PDF files which failed for you.
Do not worry about their size. Our servers have plenty of disk space.
As a workaround you can try to switch the driver from hpijs to hpcups.
Start system-config-printer (System -> Administration -> Printing),
right-click your printer's icon, choose "Properties" in the pop-up menu,
then click the "Change" button for make and model. In the dialog
appearing then click "Forward" to get to the second page. There, in the
list on the right switch to the line containing "hpcups" and then click
"Forward" (or "Finish"). Does this solve your problem?
