Password and Encrypted Keys
Affected packages: Seahorse
Create A Key
Case ID: seh-001
1. Open Applications->Accessories->Password and Encrypted Keys
2. Click on Key
3. From the menu select Create New Key
4. Select PGP Key
5. Type in your name and press Tab
6. Type in your email address and press Tab
7. Type in a comment and click on Create
8. Your key will then appear in the default Seahorse window.
9. Close Password and Encrypted Keys
Action-1: This application is launched from System >> Preferences, not
Applications >> Accessories.
Action-2: This should say "Click on Password: login" as there is not other
"Key" to click.
Action-4: Should say Click on PGP Key, then click continue or merely
Double-Click PGPKey.
Action-7: After Pressing Enter, your presented with "Pass phrase for New PGP
Key". This should filled
in for Max Security.
Actoin-8: There is Bug, the "Generating Key Panel", Just keeps going, it's the
energizer bunny. The is true in Lucid as
well, but in Lucid, the key makes it into "my Personal Keys" somehow.
