I have also a freeze with Braid screensaver on a Nvidia Geforce Go 7600, the Nvidia drivers and an i686 architecture. I can see the first second of the screensaver (in thumbnail or full screen), then the system freezes. It freezes only with Beryl or Compiz and theses drivers.
Ctrl + Alt + backspace has no effect, I have to riboot with the Sys Req.
