The image in comment #5 does not render at all with Firefox, rsvg-view or eog, due to the linked images not being available, due to the relative hyperlinks. Even if the hyperlinks were absolute, I'm not sure if rsvg-view and eog can use HTTP.
Going back to the original bug description and using the image on the reporter's website, I can still reproduce this bug with Firefox 3.6.9+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu1 on Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" alpha 3 updated to the latest versions of Firefox, libcairo2 and libpixman-1-0.
