ACER ASPIRE 9300 ....AMD Turion(TM) X2 Mobile Technology TL-50.......... I think it was installing MYTHTV that caused the problem. Have UNINSTALLED MYTHTV.....i do not think this computer can handle much MULTIMEDIA I ran the following and got a thumbs-up....... # update-apt-xapian-index The index /var/lib/apt-xapian-index is up to date Ciao....Dhan
