Thank you for your answer. I want to ask you for some help. As we are after the upstream version freeze a new version of a software (here HPLIP 1.7.3 instead of 1.7.1) is only taken into the distribution if we can be relatively sure that there are no regressions. Therefore I want to ask you to go to bug 98520 and read my second (longer) posting. Follow the test procedure described there to see whether everything is OK with HPLIP 1.7.3 package and post your report as a comment to bug 98520. Thank you very much in advance.
