Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gcalctool

1) lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu maverick (development branch)
Release: 10.10

2) apt-cache policy gcalctool
gcalctool:
  Installed: 5.31.91-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 5.31.91-0ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 5.31.91-0ubuntu1 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick/main i386 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

3) What I expected to happen is that when I click the "Show thousands
seperator" check box in Preferences, the thousands seperator is shown.

4) What happened instead is that despite the check box being checked,
the thousands seperator is not shown (please see attached
screenshot.png).
