Here is a workaround. (Works for Kodak M883.) 1. Dismiss the error message "Error -60: unable to...lock device." 2. Cancel the dialogs that offer to open f-spot. 3. Right-click the two camera icons on the desktop and choose 'unmount.' 4. Open f-spot, and import photos. The camera will be available as a source.
Comment: Ubuntu should connect the camera, but not mount its filesystems. if the camera is connect, but the filesystems are not mounted, f-spot can import photos normally. Just guessing, but I think f-spot mounts the filesystems on demand. -- Ubuntu 9.04 mounting issue digital camera showing a window popup message: -60 could not lock the device message, after mounts and launch twice https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/371028 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
