** Description changed: I'm running karmic, and since I have an audio chip which emits a "click" whenever it goes to powersave, I realized that when I'm using the console (either gnome-terminal or the VT-n ones) the audio card is woken up whenever I hit tab twice. I know that in the past there used to be a "beep" sound associated to this event, but now that the modules snd_pcsp and pcspkr are blacklisted (and not present in my lsmod), the audio chip should not be woken up again, because there's no reason. - So the applications which cause the "beep" to be emitted should be - patched to first check if those modules are loaded. Unfortunately I - don't know which is the correct package to address this bug, sorry + So the applications which cause the "beep" to be emitted should be patched to first check if those modules are loaded.
