Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: ubiquity
I started the maverick daily image from a liveUSB created with the Lucid usb
creator. When the install ubuntu or run ubuntu screen came up, I choose Try it
out or something like that. Then I later opened the installer from the desktop
icon. I started the install and used manual partitioning. Eventually the
installer said it was 'downloading file 4 of 6' but stopped moving (I left it
all night). When I looked in the terminal part of the installer, exception:
<urlopen error [Errno -2] Name or service not known>. When I clicked skip to
get past that file, the installer did nothing.
Normally, I would expect the installer to successfully skip a file if the
download failed, and automatically skip downloading a file if it failed to
download after a few tries.
