I can confirm this, the em8300-source package is too old for 2.6.20 kernel, I
downloaded here http://dxr3.sourceforge.net/download/ new release
candidates of em8300 soft/drivers:
both em8300-0.16.1-rc1 and rc2 works better, but makes kaffeine horrible
unstable(I have to start some mpeg video before even try do anything else and
checkinstall try to install some freaking gcc, so don't just make install it it
could broke something). I think these warnings in dmessages have something to
do with unstability:
[31950.790448] **WARNING** I2C adapter driver [EM8300 I2C bus 1] forgot to
specify physical device; fix it!
[31950.792488] bt865.o: BT865 chip detected
[31950.793314] bt865.o: Defaulting to PAL
[31950.793322] bt865.o: Configuring for PAL
[31950.835535] **WARNING** I2C adapter driver [EM8300 I2C bus 2] forgot to
specify physical device; fix it!

But I have feeling that this can't be fixed before dxr3 next release of
driver ready. But I really hope that when they do get it ready feistys
em8300-source package updates to newest one or it is completely
useless(unless using edgys kernel on feisty).

I haven't try driver from the cvs yet.
