Public bug reported:
When I boot a Feisty beta desktop cd, it starts up correctly but when I
want to switch to a text console (e.g. via ctrl-alt-F1), it switches the video
but nothing program is attached. When I use an Edgy desktop cd (and
Ubuntu releases before that), I get consoles 1-6 with command prompts
running on them.
This is a 1 Gigaherz AMD Duron machine with 256 megs of memory.
