The previous dmesg was from 10.04 32-bit. The 9.04 and 9.10 are from amd64, I do not have them in 32bit installed. On 9.04 the wifi works like a charm. Simple as simple can be, I just plugged in, selected network and provided password. Done. On 9.10 the indicator keeps spinning for a long while, then it gives possibility to connect. But try to connect fails. The query for password does not popup.
