This is clearly something many people have encountered, and the advice is readily available in Google if you are willing to search to find it.
The real issue is that ugly codecs and such are automatically notified as required when first trying to playback an MP 4/ MP3 file in Ubuntu default media player. However, this only installs the reader, not the MP3 writer. If a package is required to enable functionality, that should be notified in the same manner. Seems like this might be available in simple to use common code as many programs in Ubuntu suggest installing additional packages when required. As noted, gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly-multiverse is the only thing required to enable MP3 ripping. -- Impossible to rip CD in MP3 using rhythmbox https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/570796 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
