Thank you Amaritudo for choosing Linux Mint. First off I checked with ASUS Support on this is and found that this is a recurring issue with all operating systems including Windows. The main issue here is a driver that is used for the webcam that fails to invert the webcam image. The Windows driver has been updated so that the Vista/7 version will work now, however the linux driver that is installed by default will need to be patched in order to work based off of my study on this issue. Here is a link that I would recommend to install this patch that will hopefully resolve this issue for you.

Here is the related article on ASUS Support site: http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?board_id=3&model=W7J&id=20070912152106953&page=1&SLanguage=en-us It does appear that this is a linux driver issue, but is not restricted to Linux Mint. If this issue has been resolved already then please let us know for future reference so we can better assist others experiencing this issue.
