The bug has been reproducible on my computer, all one needs to do is click on the sound icon in the system tray in the top right handside of the Ubuntu GUI then click "sound preferences." From there on the first tab, there is a sub screen that allows you to change the default alert sound for Ubuntu, there are 5 radio bubbles that indicate sounds which one can choose. I can highlight other options and hear the preview sound, but if I try to click the bubble, it will not fill and I am unable to change the alert sound.
