Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: network-manager
If when initiating the Mobile Broadband connection for the first time
since the device was inserted, and the SIM requires PIN unlocking, the
connection may fail to be established if the SIM card/device is slow to
unlock. Typically it will take 15 secs or so for a SIM card / device to
become ready after unlocking. The current timeout for SendPin is 10
secs. I tested this using a slightly older SIM card and a
Vodafone(Huawei) K3520. I have attached a patch that increases the
timeout on the SendPin operation to 20 secs which works for me. I would
expect it to have no detrimental effect if the SIM/device is ready
earlier.
Problem seen with network-manager_0.8-0ubuntu3 and patch generated
against that also
