Brendan, following your train of thought, I read through the changelogs here: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/lucid/+source/openoffice.org/1:3.2.1-6ubuntu1~10.04.1 While there are several fixes mentioned for crashes, none of them exactly corresponds to our scenario. When you say "more stable" do you mean in general? What about the behaviour with hibernate that I note in my message #5 above?
