I believe I am affected by this bug as well. It happens only when "Hide new IM conversations" is set to "Always".
Steps to reproduce: 1) Have a contact send me an instant message. The message will pop up in a notification, and the name of the contact will be added to the messaging menu, under Pidgin. 2) Click the contact name in the messaging menu. A new conversation window will open, displaying the message, but it will be unfocused. 3) Focus the conversation window, and close it. The conversation window will empty itself, but will not close. Another click on the close window button is needed to close the window. 4) Have the contact send another message. Pidgin will crash. Some more info: the bug manifests in both 2.6.6 from the Lucid repositories, and the 2.7.3 version from the Pidgin PPA. Also manifests itself in the pidgin-libnotify packages from both Lucid and Maverick repos. I'm running Lucid Lynx, 32-bit. I've attached a backtrace as per the link provided by Sebastien Bacher. ** Attachment added: "Full backtrace" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pidgin-libnotify/+bug/526475/+attachment/1568619/+files/gdb-pidgin.txt -- pidgin close unexpectly with indicator-applet https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/526475 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
