Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: qsynth

Hi everyone.

It seems unusual just how unstable qsynth is - (and how unstable it can make
GNOME, as well.) The first time I open qsynth, it quits with a Segmentation
Fault. The next time, when I try to set it to the alsa driver, it crashes as
well, this time with a Bus error. (Is it possible that I don't have alsa? If
so, a message would be nice.)
Then, other times, it will just plain take GNOME down with it. An error message
will pop up for a split second saying mintmenu needs to restart, then my DE
starts up again, except none of the windows this time will have any control
boxes. (Maximize, minimize, etc.)
Also, firefox will repeatedly crash when running qsynth.

Guys, I must be doing something wrong here. No program should behave
like this and go unnoticed.

I'm running Linux Mint 9 (isadora). I would normally let apport just
handle the rest of the information, but if you guys think it's needed,
please ask.

** Affects: qsynth (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
