Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: network-manager
In Ubuntu Feisty (but not in Breezy, I believe) I can only connect to
wireless networks by choosing the wireless network from the network
manager applet while the applet is already attempting to connect.
For instance, when logging into GNOME, the network manager tries to
connect to my network, but will fail unless I choose the network while
it is trying to connecting (and not after).
As soon as I choose the network again, one of the two circles in the
icon turns green and a connection is soon established. This sounds very
odd but it's been like this for at least two weeks and it really seems
to be the case.
I suppose it could sometimes be trying to connect to another wireless
network, but it has never successfully connected to any other network.
Is there a log file that I can look at?
