Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: filezilla
We currently have beta 2 is in archive, synced from Debian. The Debian
maintainer doesn't update filezilla because they don't have wxwidgets2.8 yet,
which is needed for beta >= 3.
beta 2 was an early stage of the development of filezilla 3 and upstream says
"I consider beta 2 nonfunctional", "better remove it alltogether than to
distribute beta 2".
beta 2 -> beta 7 changes are a *lot* of bug fixes and improvements. According
to upstream, bug #96804 is fixed. Bug #88897 will be fixed too because
filezilla will be built with wxgtk 2.8 (though, I could just upload a rebuild
of beta 2 for wxgtk 2.8, but... better with beta 7).
I'm subscribed to filezilla bug mail and will take care of any problem that
could appear with this release.
filezilla (3.0.0~beta7-0ubuntu1) feisty; urgency=low
.
* New upstream release
* Merge from Debian unstable. Remaining change:
- Set Maintainer to Ubuntu MOTU Developers
* debian/control:
- Build with wxgtk 2.8 (LP: #88897)
- Build-Depends on libgnutls-dev
* debian/rules: use --disable-autoupdatecheck
* debian/patches/:
- 00list: dropped all patches, they are included upstream
- fix-for-gnutls.dpatch: fixes gnutls requirement (we have a too old
version in the archive)
.
