Could you please try a couple of things, so I can better determine what
the problem may be:
1. In a terminal, as root, run "aplay -l"
2. In a terminal, as root, "ls /dev/snd"
3. In a terminal, as root, "amixer"
Please attach the output of all commands to this bug.
