Unfortunately, Linux support for X-Fi cards is not currently that great.
The best you can do is to update to the latest alsa drivers, as outlined
here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/InstallingLinuxAlsaDriverModules.
Please report back as to whether this gives you any sound at all.
