What version of Windows 7 are you using?
Did you install guest additions?
As well, Ubuntu & virtualbox-ose have had numerous updates. Please
update and repost detailed error report.

I can't get Virtual Box to work in full screen. Virtual Box appears only in a
small window as part of the display on my laptop.
