Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: software-center
Ubuntu Software Center 2.1.18.1, Ubuntu Maverick
I encountered this while testing a fix for bug 636004, and found that it
occurs in 2.1.18.1 itself.
To reproduce:
1. Navigate to "Get Software" > "System" > "A Better CD Encoder"
(abcde), and click the "More Info" button.
On my machine, Software Center freezes at this point and does not
return. It happens quite often, though not every time.
Note that this only happens when the full list is 28K or so items is
displayed. If I use a search string to narrow the list (typing, say,
"abcd") and click "More Info" from there, it works fine every time.
Note also that this is the only package that I could find that causes
this problem. Hrm.
When I hit <ctl>c in the terminal I get the following:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/share/software-center/softwarecenter/view/appdetailsview_gtk.py",
line 1059, in _on_allocate
def _on_allocate(self, widget, allocation):
