The correct way to disable file sync in U1 is to do so in the ubuntuone-
preferences dialog. Disabling the autostart of any app in the session
startup properties dialog has no merit on whether or not the app listed
there will actually start or not at some other point in the session. It
merely means that the executable specified in the autostart file will
not be run by the session manager. Any DBus service for example, will
probably be run as soon as anything which uses that service, requests a
connection to it. This is the case for Ubuntu One as well as many other
services also listed there.
