Removing openoffice.org-l10n-en-gb and openoffice.org-l10n-en-za solved the problem.
After this, 'update-manager -d' told me on its own to do a distrib upgrade, but this was an upgrade to Edgy! Closing the dialog without choosing one of the buttons (Upgrade or Quit) allowed me to start the upgrade to Feisty, and the install when right.
