Workaround: add " acpi=noirq" to the boot options: When you see the initial menu: 1) Press ESC - confirm you want tet boot mode 2) type " linux acpi=noirq" and enter 3) Live CD should boot normally
I think this is a duplicate of Bug # 90271.
