Just a note about my issue with error 17.

I had a USB flash drive plugged in to my PC when I booted and Grub gave
me error 17. After spending a little while trying to figure out what
was wrong, I finally realized that the flash drive was confusing Grub.

Immediately afterward, I felt kind of stupid that I didn't realize the
problem sooner. However, after it sunk in for awhile, I didn't feel so
stupid. Grub should be smarter than that. Fact is, you would think
that Grub would simply add the flash drive to the list of boot options
or ignore it.

And how many Ubuntu/Linux noobs will have any clue whatsoever as to what
"Error 17" means? Shouldn't this be a bit more descriptive?
