I can confirm that 'compat-wireless-2010-09-12' seems to fix the issue
here too (I'm the initial bug reporter).
Is there a chance that linux-backports-modules-wireless-maverick-generic
shipping with Ubuntu 10.10 final gets updated to this version ?
