Martin, can you give us more information about the interfaces on your
system? You don't appear to be running Ubuntu in a different localized
environment, so the only thing I can think of is special interfaces like
bridges set up on your system...
Please post the output of ifconfig -a, or ip addr list, or a similar
command that will show the all device interface names n your system
(eth0 and the like).
