If you are running kernel 2.6.32-25-generic, then you are running a kernel from the proposed updates repository. It seems like at some point in the past, you enabled the proposed repository to test an update, and have not disabled it. We do not provide alsa driver updates for proposed kernels, since such kernels could easily be removed and not be pushed through as a tested update. I suggest you install linux-alsa-driver- modules-2.6.32-24-generic, and reboot into the 2.6.32-24-generic kernel. Also when running apt-get, you need to do so using the sudo command, like so:
sudo apt-get install linux-alsa-driver-modules-2.6.32-24-generic Hope this helps. -- [ICH4 - Intel ICH5] ALSA test tone not correctly played back https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/634902 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
