** Attachment added: "dmesg output" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm/+bug/638680/+attachment/1586755/+files/dmesg.log
** Description changed: Binary package hint: gdm Using Maverick 10.10 betas Since updating to Maverick 10.10, GDM doesn't seem to start correctly with my dual monitor setup, preventing the login screen from appearing. However, when one of these monitors is unplugged GDM correctly configures the display and the login screen appears. I don't think this is related to the [Intel] xorg driver (the attached xorg log indicates that both devices are detected and set to the correct mode), and running startx does allow me to switch into a graphical session. There also seems to be no problem with drm (no warnings in the dmesg output). Regardless, I'll attach output from the lspci, dmesg, and the xorg.log Version of gdm is 2.30.5-0ubuntu4 + + Of course, if there is anything else you would like me to provide, I'll + try my best to do so -- gdm incorrectly configures multi-monitor displays https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/638680 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
