Hm, so it looks like several issues combined into one bug.
1- You started experiencing CIFS mount issues, due to "error -1 (Unknown
error 18446744073709551615) opening credential file
/home/imota/.smbcredentials"
2- You updated/reinstalled samba but that failed, due to a missing
/etc/samba/smb.conf. Following advice from somewhere else, you fixed
that, so now Samba is clean.
3- You now have another error (cifs filesystem not supported by the
system).
Error (3) looks like you're now missing the cifs-utils package (which
provides mount.cifs). Could you check if that package is installed ? If
not, please install it and tell us if the credentials issue persists.
