*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 39448 *** According to Gnome Power Manager help it shouldn't lock the screen unless screen saver locking is enabled.
Advanced Prefences under Feisty: "By default, GNOME Power Manager supports a simple locking scheme. This means that the screen will lock if set to "Lock screen" in gnome-screensaver when the lid is closed, or the system performs a suspend or hibernate action." Maybe you are right but please change the help then. The non locking wasn't a bug since it was documented and instead of the relation between screensaver idle time and power manager suspend times the screen saver lock option makes sense. Everyone who needs this "security" enables of course screen saver locking. -- Suspend/hibernate should not lock screen unless gnome-screensaver says so https://launchpad.net/bugs/44933 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
