Sebastian, a full backtrace report is not possible, because the x-server 
crashes when the bug is detected by gdb. Btw: Im experiencing the same problem, 
which Krishna reported a few days ago...
Try to slide down and up the volume bar as fast as you can while playing a 
video or sound file.

Gdm reports the following when it detects the crash:

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
[Switching to Thread 0xb3bfab70 (LWP 3825)]
0x00000000 in ?? ()
(gdb) Hangup detected on fd 0
Error detected on fd 0
error detected on stdin

A memcheck with valgrind doesn't work, because totem reacts too slow.
