Same problem for kubuntu feisty beta with GeForce4. But, the command I used to enable nvidia-glx was "sudo nvidia-xconfig" instead of "sudo nvidia-glx-config enable", according to https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BinaryDriverHowto/Nvidia . Attached is the xorg.conf that this command (nvidia-xconfig) generated (pretty much the same - about video).
