Ubuntu 7.04 beta fully updated. Steps are very simple:
1. from terminal window:
$ sudo gcong-editor
Password:
Menu->Search
Trash
X search in keys
X search in values
bla-bla-bla/icons/visible ==> check all listed icons
close gconf-editor
exit from terminal
Nothing on desktop
reboot the laptop
Nothing on desktop
Laptop: Acer travelMate 2350, Celeron M 1,5 GHz, 1G RAM, 100Gb HDD 7200
