3) What I expected to happen is when I type at the terminal 'apt-cache
show awk' it shows:

apt-cache show awk
N: Can't select versions from package 'awk' as it is purely virtual
N: No packages found

4) What happens instead is:

apt-cache show awk
N: Can't select versions from package 'awk' as it purely virtual
N: No packages found
