Public bug reported:
The system either crashed or was behaving very erratically. I was unable
to do nothing either through 2.6.20-13 or 2.6.20-12 . Do not know
whether it would qualify as crash or something else. This has happened
after I have tried to change the text resolution in BIOS so tht 1024*768
can be done but even there it did not happen & after doing sudo update-
grub the old entry is there in /boot/grub/menu.lst hence giving both the
dmesg.txt which I saved as well as /boot/grub/menu.lst
