Public bug reported:
The Ubuntu 20060807.1 i386 Alternate CD install blacks the screen near
the end of the installation process. Actually, the screen is all black
with only two white cursor blocks. At that point, it is possible to
simply hit enter a couple times and then the CD is ejected. Hitting
eject a third time reboots the system which was installed fine.
The machine on which this problem was encountered is a Dell Dimension
5150. The video controller is a an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950.
