At this point, I suggest you uninstall the package linux-alsa-driver-
modules-2.6.32-24-generic from your system, since you appear to have the
Ubuntu Audio Dev PPA https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-audio-dev/+archive
enabled as a software source. once you have removed that package, pleas
reboot, and check to see whether you have sound.
