The 20070402 live-cd resolves one problem. However a different problem locks the system during boot too. 'Memory remap' has to be disabled in the bios, which limits the system to 3 Gigs of Ram. This problem is discussed and resolved at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=375853
The memory remap can be enabled, thus allowing up to 8 gigs of ram, but one must add to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist the line 'blacklist intel_agp'. There does not seem to be bug entry here that I can find so perhaps this should be for the latter problem as well? Also of note is that the attansic LAN card now works out of the box. -- Feisty Live CD crash - udevd-event https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/96574 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
