Mainline kernel 2.6.35.4-maverick!!!! The ubuntu maverick kernel keeps reporting ( in dmesg without the >>) >> >> ata3.00: configured for UDMA/100 >> ata3: EH complete >>
while there are no apparent problems with my harddrive or controller. I have also tested mainline kernel 2.6.35.4-maverick. The problem exists there as well. So this is a vanilla kernel 'problem'. Removed 'requires upstream testing' tag..... ** Description changed: Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.35-20-generic - I read somewhere that earlier version of kernel repored EH complete for - ATA drivers incorrectly.
