Did you do some testing? Ok, to reproduce this problem, try this: set all your volume levels (Master, PCM and LFE) to some middle level. While playing some audio file, move the LFE volume control. Only the sound level from your LFE is affected, your "front speakers" sound level is not affected, that's ok. Now, move the Master volume control. Only your "front speakers" volume level is affected, the LFE sound level is not affected. Finally, move your PCM volume control. Both "front speakers" and LFE volume levels are affected.
